Within an hours drive we have the most beautiful award winning coastline, days out discovering Scotland, Beamish Open Air Museum and so much more......even the lake district is only a day trip away.

Sweethope Loughs
Only 6 miles from our pods is an abundance of outdoor adventure just waiting for you to enjoy, they are some of Northumberland’s wildest landscapes.
Free to explore
Well worth a walk up to Great Wanney Crag, this 3 mile walk is spectacular in 360 degrees. There are also some great climbing spots for those who know how to handle their equipment!
Cycling
Directly from our door sweep around by sweethope to take in some amazing scenery on your two wheels.
Back at Sweethope the on site activities are to be prebooked with some of our great business partners, contact them or us for more information.
Fly Fishing on one of the two loughs (140 and 12 acres) can be booked by contacting www.sweethope.co.uk
Open water swimming introduction sessions can be booked with H2o Trails
paddle boarding can be booked again with Fenwick.
Raft building and sailing can be booked with Paul and Simone Wild About Adventure canoe around the 140 acre lough again with Paul and Simone.

Hadrians Wall
By far the most popular destination for our guests, with Sycamore Gap being the 'must do' on most lists.
This World Heritage Site is well worth a trip, with the Roman Forts along the wall and The Sill all worthy of a visit.
Dark Skies
Our pods are ideal for dark sky observing, however there is also the Kielder Observatory, Twice Bred Inn and the Battlesteads where astrologists can help you navigate the night skies.
Alnwick Gardens & Castle
Alnwick Castle & Gardens are a must for Harry Potter fanatics, historians and those who appreciate a beautiful setting.
Northumberland Coast
The Northumberland Coast is only an hours drive, making it an ideal day out should the weather be more favourable that day their long sandy beaches are tempting.
Kielder Water
A popular destination for cyclists, walkers and water sports enthusiasts. This man made reservoir has some beautiful art installations and points of interest.
Horse Riding or Cycling??
With iconic mountain bike trails at Kielder, family routes at Wallington Hall and challenging routes such as the Sandstone Way there is something for every cyclist. Cycle hire is available at Wallington Hall and Kielder.
For the equine enthusiast there are riding stables at Cragside and Sinderhope
